July 22 Gathering

A lovely evening in July found over 50 members of our Presbytery family gathered at Lyndhurst Community of Faith Church, focused on our Journey to Shalom and Abundance. The event was part Sunday School lesson, part therapy session and part playground time as we engaged in a large group presentation and small group discussions.

A very technologically advanced method of data collection was employed -- newsprint and sticky notes! -- and we invite you to read a summary of what was shared.

What are we learning about Shalom?

It is more than the presence of peace; it is the absence of discord and division. 

It is making all things whole; it is being who and what we are capable of being because of each other. 

It is living into who we are called to be as part of God’s kindom.
